Frugal Slip N’ Slide

The boys have been having fun on our frugal homemade Slip N’ Slide.

What you will need…

  • Large Plastic Tarp
  • One or Two Sprinklers hooked up to a water hose
  • Kids that want to have some Summer Fun

Lay the tarp in the yard, turn the sprinklers on and have fun!

  1. We did this as children back in the 60’s but we also used dish soap to slide better. We had great fun & it is also good for the grass.

  2. So much fun! My parents bought a slip n slide for the grandkids to play with… and it broke the first time they used it. You could have saved them some money! 🙂

  3. I read someplace that you can do the same thing with garbage bags that come attached together in a roll–just unroll and add water. I like the tarp idea though–probably heavier and definitely gives more room for lateral moves!
